Privacy

Groast uses anonymous capability sessions for guests and does not create guest accounts. Event answers and roast material are encrypted, used only for event operations, and never included in Stripe metadata. The organizer must publish and operate a deletion schedule; Groast does not yet apply an automatic retention deadline.

Hosts authenticate through Client Explorer. Card payment processing and connected-account onboarding are provided by Stripe. Events can instead use offline IOUs: payer names and optional contact details are encrypted and shared only with the payer and event organizer, who records money collected directly. Public totals distinguish money received from outstanding promises.

Auction descriptions, donor names, and approved sponsor ads backed by payment or an accepted offline IOU are public within the event. Bidder names, contact emails, and collection details are encrypted and shared only with the organizer and the relevant guest. Your bids and purchases stay attached to your private guest session. Keep your recovery phrase to regain access on another device. Commerce participation extends session access so you can return after an auction closes.

Client Explorer and OpenAI process the context needed for each AI turn. A target veto removes the material from Groast and the live event immediately; processor records remain subject to those providers' retention and deletion policies. Organizers must publish a retention period before running a production event.
