House terms

Groast is for consensual, adult event entertainment. Hosts are responsible for their event, target consent, moderation, beneficiary disclosures, and applicable fundraising rules.

Roast payments are contributions to the named event. Unless the organizer expressly provides qualified charity documentation, contributions should not be represented as tax-deductible.

When an event uses offline IOUs, you explicitly promise to pay the displayed amount directly to the organizer. Groast records the promise and lets the organizer record receipt or refund of money exchanged outside the site. An IOU does not charge a card. Outstanding promises are shown separately from money received.

Auction items are donated for the event. The highest accepted bid at the deadline wins the opportunity to purchase the item at that price; card payment or an explicitly accepted offline IOU is required before collection. The organizer handles item descriptions, collection, and any fulfillment issues. Bids do not charge your card automatically.

Business sponsorships purchase the package described by the organizer. Ads require host approval and confirmed card payment or an accepted offline IOU before appearing on the event page and display. The host can remove an ad or cancel a sale; canceled card orders are submitted for a refund. Offline refunds are returned directly by the organizer and then recorded in Groast. Sponsors must have permission to use their submitted text, logos, and linked images.

Paid game actions do not guarantee the final on-screen outcome. A target veto, host safety action, deadline, or later valid counter-action may change it.
